ALESSIA

Alessia Moltani

CEO of Comftech S.r.l

After studying humanities, she specialised at Istituto Marangoni. She gained in- depth experience in textile production, developing a strong interest in materials, new technologies and innovation themes. In 2008, she worked on textile sensors and conductive circuits integrated into garments with a project aimed at creating intelligent garments specifically for premature children in neonatal intensive care units: this successful experience allowed her to understand how these tools, being non-invasive, can support the monitoring of the fragile. Since 2010, she has been the founder and CEO of Comftech, an innovative SME specialising in wearable monitoring tools based on smart clothing, with applications in healthcare, sports and wellness. Under her leadership, Comftech has certified its solutions as medical devices and validated them with clinical trials. She specialises in the monitoring of the frail and has developed great attention to the usability of systems, the reliability of the data collected and the usability of signals. She is a lecturer at Istituto Marangoni. She is a co-author of publications and co-inventor in seven international patents. She firmly believes that the multidisciplinary background and the inclusive approach are the pillars both for the development and for the introduction of new technologies for the improvement of daily life in the logic of prevention and support in care.
